Visit website: www.wickwarbrewing.co.uk The Wickwar Brewing Company are a Gloucestershire based brewery that sell a wide range of bottled and ‘on tap’ beers, including their award winning BOB (Brand Oak Bitter). Although they are based in Gloucestershire, Wickwar ship their products to anywhere in the UK and also deal with retailers and distributors across Europe. They required an e-Commerce solution that would enable them to increase sales of their current range of products. The Wickwar site which was built by NetBop and designed by Hills Design, is not only an e-Commerce store. It allows potential customers to find out detailed information about the company and their range products. It is also designed to allow potential business partners to enter a ‘corporate’ section, and inform Wickwar of their interest in becoming either a ‘Distributor’ or a ‘Retailer’ via online forms. On the e-Commerce front, the site has a store which is split into two sections: ‘Beer’ and ‘Merchandise’. Once one of these sections is clicked on, the following page calls a current list of available products from a ‘Microsoft Access Database’ that are then displayed. These items can be freely added and removed by the client. Once the user has selected what products they would like the items are added to a shopping basket, here the user can change the quantity of the products and review the order before they are taken to a secure (SSL) order page to process their payment details. After the order has been completed, the system sends a conformation e-mail to both the Customer and Wickwar confirming the order and provides them with an order tracking number. This number allows the client to return to the Wickwar site at any time to track the status of their order, its dispatch date and its scheduled delivery with the courier Interlink Express.
